The Spirit Has Been Poured 2

Until the Spirit is poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness becomes a fruitful field, and the fruitful field is counted as a forest. (Isaiah 32:15 NKJV)

When the Holy Spirit comes to live in you, there’s a definite transformation that takes place:

The Bible in Acts 1:8 (NKJV) says, "But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” The first thing noted here is that when the Holy Spirit comes, He fills you with power. The Greek rendering for the word power is "Dunamis" and it refers to divine energy, might, strength for wonderful works, efficiency, miracle-working

ability, inherent power, and the dynamic ability to cause changes.

This is one of the manifestations of the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit in you. And what is more glorious is that you can put this power to work anywhere and anytime to bring forth the desired changes in your life and environment.

Secondly, when the Holy Spirit comes, He enables you to be an effective witness for Jesus Christ. An undeniable passion for God’s Kingdom consumes you, and you find that you cannot keep the Gospel to yourself. Wherever you go, you impact lives with the truth of the Gospel, leading many to repentance and salvation.

Micah 3:8 (AMPC) reads, “But truly I [Micah] am full of power, of the Spirit of the Lord, and of justice and might...” What a bold declaration by Micah. He unapologetically proclaimed that he's full of power — and at that time, the Holy Spirit had not yet been poured out. How remarkable!

Now, from the above scriptures it’s evident that as a New Creation, you are more than a man. The Holy Spirit works in you mightily and divinely enables you to achieve results that are beyond human ability or comprehension. Your possibilities are endless! No sickness or disease can thrive in your body. Death cannot touch you and poverty has absolutely no hold over you, because God's mighty power is working in you, Hallelujah!

John 3:34 reads, "For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him." When you receive the Holy Spirit, He comes into you in His fullness. This means the fullness of His power is in you. Thus, you don't beg or ask God for more power; your responsibility is to first acknowledge, then speak and declare what God has made real in your life already — that you're full of power because the Holy Spirit lives in you.

Take advantage of the glorious ministry of the Holy Spirit in your life. Cultivate the power within you by fellowshipping with Him, and as you pray more in the spirit (tongues), His ability in you will bring about a change in your life, that will not go unnoticed.

Confessions

Heavenly Father, I thank you for the fullness of the Holy Spirit in me. His power is working mightily in and through me. Through the Holy Spirit, I'm bold and courageous to preach the Gospel of Christ Jesus to the lost and win them into the Kingdom of God. Hallelujah.
