The Spirit Has Been Poured 1

Until the Spirit is poured upon us from on high, And the

wilderness becomes a fruitful field, And the fruitful field is

counted as a forest. (Isaiah 32:15 NKJV) The Contemporary English Version (CEV) of the theme verse reads as follows, "When the Spirit is given to us from heaven, deserts will become orchards thick as fertile forests." Today we're living and functioning in the New Testament age. This means the above verse has been fulfilled, the The Holy Ghost has been poured out. If you have received him He lives and abides in you in His fullness.

The theme verse gives an example of the wilderness, a dry desert that now bears fruit, it becomes a fruitful field as a result of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. What's important here is that we see the power or impact of the presence of the Holy Ghost. Wherever He comes into, He brings about a definite change that results in increase, growth and fruitfulness.

Now the question is, what happens when a human being receives the Holy Spirit? We've already seen that the Holy Spirit brings about fruitfulness wherever he goes. So this means the Holy Spirit in you makes you fruitful and productive, He brings about a transformation in your life and takes you from glory to glory and He brings beauty into your life. It's very important you acknowledge and declare these realities of truth in your life. For example, you boldly declare, "I'm fruitful and productive in every area of my life because I have the Holy Ghost in me."

However, as much as the Holy Spirit brings about fruitfulness in the wilderness as it's poured out, there's also a very important impact the Holy Spirit causes upon you as He's poured out to your human spirit.

1 Samuel 10:6 NIV reads, "The Spirit of the Lord will come powerfully upon you, and you will

prophesy with them; and you will

be changed into a different person." Two important things the Holy Spirit brings about in you once you receive Him as per the preceding scripture. Number one, He enables you to prophesy. Not only does He enable you, He also teaches and helps you prophesy. As you continually have a rich and strong fellowship with Him, He continually stirs you to prophesy. Hallelujah.

This is beautiful. Isaiah 32:15 doesn't say the wilderness will now try become fruitful because the Holy Ghost has been poured out, but rather, the wilderness becomes fruitful. So it is with you, you won't "try" to prophesy, but rather you will prophesy because the Holy Spirit causes you to do so. However, as per according to 1 Corinthians 14:1 (NKJV), "...desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy." It is through your desire to prophesy that you encourage the Ministry of the Holy Spirit to help and cause you to prophesy.

Number two, as the Holy Spirit is poured out upon you, He changes and transforms you into a different person. Now that the He's in you, you've ceased to be an ordinary person. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God, this means God Himself is in you. You're now a supernatural being.Your life becomes one that’s characterized by the supernatural and miraculousalways.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank you for the privilege of having the Holy Spirit live in me now that I've received Him in His fullness. He causes me to walk in righteousness and perfection always. Today I'm a new man in Christ and my life is moving from glory to glory by the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord for enabling me to prophesy and to speaking forth your word, establishing it in the earth, in Jesus' name. Amen.
