THE SELF-SUFFICIENT MAN 2
2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV)
Therefore if any man [be] in Christ, [he is] a new creature: old things are passed away: behold all things are become new. Our opening scripture renders a remarkable reality. When you were born again, you were born into an environment called “Christ.” This connotes that you dwell, have settled and made a home in Him. The bible says; “If any man be in Christ…” (2 Corinthians 5:17). "In Christ" is a place, but it’s important that we note that Christ is also a person. Christ is our home. In Him we have rest and we have peace. Christ is our safety, our security, and fulfillment. In him, our prosperity is endless. There is therefore, absolutely no reason for one to go and seek deliverance, because we were born in this place called Christ. What a place to be!
Psalm 66:12 says, “...but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place." This is where the man in Christ is. A place of complete and absolute abundance and wealth. Thus, there’s no reason to fight poverty because in Christ you’ve come to your place of wealth. No wonder the bible says: “For in him we live, and move, and have our being...” (Acts 17:28). Hallelujah! It is "In him" (Christ), where we live, move, and carry out our daily life.
The bible says in Hebrews 12:22 ; “But ye are come unto mount Zion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels.” What a place to Be! What a home! The inhabitants of this place, Zion,In Christ, shall not say I am poor or I am sick. This is because Zion is a place of wealth and health. Sickness and poverty does not exist here! What's even a more glorious reality about all this is that the bible says, "ye are come," meaning we have arrived. We’re not on our way, or marching to mount Zion rather the scripture makes it clear that we have already landed in this city.
Colossians 3:3 (KJV)
For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
Your life is hidden with Christ in God. Question is: How did we arrive in Christ? According to (Romans 6:4), it was by the reason of Christ’s resurrection. The resurrection ushered us into this place called Christ. We live in Christ and this is our consciousness. We are hidden with Christ in God. As far as God is concerned, we are not separated from Christ Jesus instead we are in an inseparable union with Christ, we are one with him.

The book of (2 Peter 1:3) reads, “as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness…” A Christian is self-sufficient. He doesn’t need to look from any external force for what he requires. The Apostle Peter echoes this clearly he says, we have been given all things that pertain unto life and godliness. Furthermore, the Apostle Paul says, “Therefore let no one boast in men. For all things are yours. (1 Corinthians 3:21)
It has always been Gods’ dream for his children to live a life where they require no aid or support from any external force. This all commenced in the garden of Eden. God placed Adam in the garden and this was a place of abundance and wealth. Everything and anything Adam required had already been provided for from the garden, connoting that the man was self -sufficient, requiring no aid or support. This is very much the same for the man who is born again. You are in an even better place called “In Christ”. Just like Adam who required no aid or support outside Eden, In Christ you too require no aid or support from any external force. All you could ever need is wrapped up inside you.
Let’s look at the following analogy: When Adam needed a wife he did not seek her outside Eden or even look up into the heavens for her, rather Eve emanated from inside him (Genesis 2:22). This is the same with you who is in Christ, everything you could ever require is already inside you. That promotion, that job and everything else you could ever desire is inside you all you need to do is pull it out from the reservoirs of your spirit.
(Psalm 75:6 (AMP)
For not from the east nor west nor from the south come promotion and lifting up
The idea the Word of God is communicating to us, from the scripture above, is that Promotion and lifting up do not come from anywhere else but from the reservoirs of your spirit, however, this is only according to the power of God that is at work in you.
(Ephesians 3:20 (NLT)
Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us to accomplish infinitely more than we might as or think.
Notice that the above scripture does not say, according to the power that is at work in heaven or in your Pastor, but rather at work in you.
The Amplified version renders our above scripture verse thus: “Now to him who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out his purpose and] do super abundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes and dreams”
2 Corinthians 9:8 (AMP)
And God is able to make all grace (every favour and earthly blessing come to you in abundance, so that you may always and under all circumstances and whatever the need to be self-sufficient [possessing enough to require no aid or support and furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation.
Gods dream for his children is for them to require no aid or support. Christianity is not a life of “I receive,” all things are ours. We own the world. We are blessed beyond measure; we are joint heirs with Christ. Walk in consciousness and reality of your self-sufficiency in Christ.
CONFESSION:
Christ lives in me, He’s also my home, and the environment from which I function. Christ is my glory, my health, wealth, wisdom, righteousness, and my all! In Him I live, and move, and have my being.
