The Perfect Man: Perfection Through Mind Management II

For as he thinks in his heart, so is he (Proverbs 23:7 NKJV)

The character of our words and the totality of our personalities are all expressions (the outward workings) of our minds. This is a profound fundamental principle communicated in our opening scripture. Who we are today is the definite function of our minds.

There are numerous scriptures which substantiate this principle. The following is an example extracted from the story of Job. Observe his words in Job 3:25, he said "For the thing I greatly feared has come upon me, and what I dreaded has happened to me." This scripture reveals that God had nothing to do with the unpleasant outcomes in Job's life. Job had thoughts of fear (fear of losing his children and riches) and as a result, those thoughts manifested in his life.

Know this: It is your own thoughts that shape your life. In order for you to lead a perfect life, you need to frame the life you desire by means of perfect thoughts, and we know that perfect thoughts are the result of a mind that's in a state of perfection.

Now you may be wondering, how does one get their mind to be in a state of perfection?

Well, the book of Romans 12:2 conveys, "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." Did you see that? We are not to conform to this world (meaning we are not to conform to the world's standards and ways of doing things). Moreover, we are also expected to be transformed (to change, restyle, reorganize and bring alignment) by the renewing (to make new, restore, recreate and to format) of our minds; all of which can be achieved through the consistent, diligent and disciplined study of (as well as meditation on) God's Word.

Child of God, the outcome of your life (your happiness, peace, success and prosperity) rest in the creating-power and functionality of your mind. Set your mind on the perfect Word of God and watch your life move from glory to Glory.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, I thank you for giving me the ability to determine the outcomes of my life through my excellent and perfect thoughts. Perfection is my way of life in Jesus name Amen.
