The Perfect Man: Perfection Through Mind Management 3

Pray at all times (on every occasion, in every season) in the Spirit, with all [manner of] prayer and entreaty (Ephesians 6:18 AMPC)

When it comes to the subject of prayer, it is of utmost importance that we pray in the Spirit. This, as indicated in our opening scripture, means that we ought to speak in other tongues at all times, on every occasion and in every season.

Now, there are different kinds of prayers. For instance there's the prayer of agreement, the prayer of intercession and the prayer of thanksgiving (just to name a few). What you may be wondering is "How then does God, His Power and His Angels know which prayer I'm praying since I'm to pray all of them in the Spirit? Well, the answer is simple: It's all in the power of your mind. Focusing your mind will direct the power of God to work on that which your mind is set on.

You see, the mind is a tool, and just as with any other tool, there's a purpose for it. When praying, you can make use of your mind to direct the power of God towards where it's needed. For example, if you're saying the prayer of intercession for someone, focus (set) your mind on what it is that you desire to see manifested in the life of that particular individual.

The same principle applies for when you minister, lay hands on the sick, evangelize, run your church, finances or business; your success and effectiveness in these and every other aspect of your life is dependent on you focusing your mind (channelling the power of God) towards them.

Child of God, the importance of mind management (reorganizing and reprogramming your mind with God's Word) therefore, cannot be overemphasized. Train yourself to think like God. He already told us that we have His mind (1 Corinthians 2:6) in addition to that, He has given us His Word, which is His thoughts. This alone shows us that we have the ability to think and reason like our Heavenly Father, Hallelujah!

Confession:

With my mind I direct the power of God to work in, through and for me. I think and reason like God, for His thoughts are in my heart today and always. Glory to His name forever.
