The New Blessing 2

We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life (Romans 6:4 NIV).

Jesus was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, so that we may have newness of life -New Life, New Nature. Jesus brought life and not a religion (John 10:10). In Romans 10:9, the Bible reveals that one becomes born again through confessing that Jesus Christ is Lord and that God has raised Him from the dead. Thus, Christianity is a product of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. His resurrection has ushered us in newness of life. The Christian possesses the life and nature of God.

When we became born again we received eternal life. We will explore an array of scriptures that will reveal to us that now we have obtained eternal life. Eternal life is not life after death as some may think; it is the God-type of life. Eternal life is the life that enables us to function like God here on earth.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life John 3:16 NKJV

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly.

John 10:10 NKJV.

Jesus came so that we may have life. Everyone living on earth already has a life but this is the human life if they are not born again. You may wonder what form of life Jesus could be referring to in John 10:10. This is the God-type of life. When a person is not born again, they have the human life.

In addition, you can only receive eternal life (God-type of life) when you are born again. Similarly, the Bible tells us in 1 John 5:11-13 that we have eternal life already because we have Jesus Christ. Those who possess eternal life are those who believe in the name of the Son of God.

For instance, now that you are born again, you are superior to death. Jesus abolished death and brought us life and immortality (2 Timothy 1:10 NKJV); therefore, death is not a factor when you are born again. Though ten thousand are dying around you, death will not touch you (Psalm 91:7 NLT). Jesus said in John 11:25 that he is the resurrection and the life, meanwhile 1 John 4:17 tells us that as Jesus is, so are we in this world.

We live the undying, indestructible, incorruptible life. You received this life into your spirit when you became born again. Although you are born again, possessing eternal, be wise with the words you speak because the tongue can bring life or death (Proverbs 18:21). Speak only the things that are in consent with the new life you have now. Meditate on these scriptures until you are fully conscious of this new life in you and see yourself experiencing and walking in the reality of the blessings of this new life.

CONFESSION

Thank you, Father, for the newness of life I obtained in Christ. I walk in the reality of this new blessing. I am full of life, I dream life, I speak life. I will live and not die. There is no symptom of death in my body.
