For even as the Father has life in Himself and is self-existent, so He has given to the Son to have life in Himself and be self-existent. (John 5:26 AMPC)
When Jesus walked on the earth He was independent of the Father. This means He didn't rely on heaven for life or power. Our theme verse is clear in letting us know that it was God who gave Him to have life in Himself and be self-existent. Jesus therefore walking on the earth was and still is the source of life. He required no aid or support.
As a new creature, possessing the life of God on the inside, Paul writes, "Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content" (Philippians 4:11). Content here means to be independent of external circumstances. When eternal life is in you it makes you self-sufficient, requiring no aid or support (2 Corinthians 9:8 AMPC). This is the very life Jesus possesses, it therefore causes you to be independent of external circumstances. The source of your success and progress in Iife is in you, which is eternal life.
1 John 5:4 (NKJV) says, "For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith." Eternal life is the overcoming life. This means you always win in life. Your victories and truimphs are guaranteed, not because of what you can do, but because of what you possess, the God Life in you. This is the life that makes you more than a conqueror. Hallelujah!
1 John 4:4 shows us something beautiful and reads, "Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world." Your greatness is not a result of what you did or what you're doing in life, no. You are greatness in motion because you have the life of God in you. Eternal life is the greater life. Glory to God. This life is greater than any sickness and disease, and it's greater than the system of this world. Hallelujah.
There's no reason for the child of God to suffer or struggle in life with the life of God inside them. All you need to do is develop a consciousness of the reality of eternal life through continuous study and meditation of God's Word.
Confession:
I have the greater life in me. No situation or circumstance in life is above me. I'm more than a conqueror and I've overcome the world for the greater one lives in me. Everything I require for life and godliness is in me for I have eternal life
