The Complete Man 4

Updated: Sep 19, 2018

"He also is the Head of [His] body, the church; seeing He is the Beginning, the Firstborn from among the dead, so that He alone in everything and in every respect might occupy the chief place [stand first and be preeminent]. For it has pleased [the Father] that all the divine fullness (the sum total of the divine perfection, powers, and attributes) should dwell in Him permanently." (Colossians 1:18-19 AMPC)

Jesus Christ was perfect and complete during his walk on earth, and when you study scripture, you recognize from God's word that everything that was in God was in Jesus Christ. That means there is nothing that God had, that Jesus didn't have. Jesus said “my father and I are one, if you have seen me you have seen the father”. Our opening scripture above conveys this more clearly, it says Jesus had the sum total of the divine perfection, powers, and attributes of God. Jesus was a God - Man.

The Bible says in 1 John 4:15 KJV "Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God." Jesus contained all the attributes that made God, God. Once you accept Jesus Christ, the bible says you are one with Him. You are in an inseparable union with Him meaning that as a Christian, God lives in you and you live in God. 1 Corinthians 6:17 NLT says,  "But the person who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with him." We are members of his body, of his flesh and of his bones.

Going deeper the bible says, "For in Him the whole fullness of Deity (the Godhead) continues to dwell in bodily form [giving complete expression of the divine nature]. And you are in Him, made full and having come to fullness of life [in Christ you too are filled with the Godhead–Father, Son and Holy Spirit–and reach full spiritual stature]. And He is the Head of all rule and authority [of every angelic principality and power]." (Colossians 2:9-10 AMPC)

Jesus is the expression of the fullness of God, his perfection and his righteousness. The Bible says, “And you are in Him, made full and having come to fullness of life” Hallelujah!!!

As a Christian then, when God sees you, he sees Divinity in motion, he sees an associate of the God - Kind. Remember, as Jesus is perfect and complete so are we in this world, (1 John 4:17) and when God gives birth he can only reproduce after his own Kind thus you are the offspring of the flawless, perfect, complete word of God. You are the heir of God, a Joint heir with Christ. Everything that God has, you have.

Questions is, where did all the imperfections go since you are perfect and complete in Him?

"In Him also you were circumcised with a circumcision not made with hands, but in a [spiritual] circumcision [performed by] Christ by stripping off the body of the flesh (the whole corrupt, carnal nature with its passions and lusts)." Colossians 2:11 AMPC

All imperfections, Sickness, poverty, weaknesses, and the like  were cut away, removed the day you got born again, Hallelujah.

This is why the word of God says, "And all of us, as with unveiled face, [because we] continued to behold [in the Word of God] as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are constantly being transfigured into His very own image in ever increasing splendor and from one degree of glory to another; [for this comes] from the Lord [Who is] the Spirit." 2 Corinthians 3:18 AMPC

The word of God is a mirror. When you look into the word of God you see a reflection of yourself. In like manner, looking at Jesus is looking at a reflection of yourself. For example, when you hear of Jesus healing the sick, you are the Jesus, and not the sick. The mirror of God says, “So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority.” Colossians‬ ‭2:10‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Let’s go to James 1:22-25 AMPC, "But be doers of the Word [obey the message], and not merely listeners to it, betraying yourselves [into deception by reasoning contrary to the Truth]. For if anyone only listens to the Word without obeying it and being a doer of it, he is like a man who looks carefully at his [own] natural face in a mirror; For he thoughtfully observes himself, and then goes off and promptly forgets what he was like. But he who looks carefully into the faultless law, the [law] of liberty, and is faithful to it and perseveres in looking into it, being not a heedless listener who forgets but an active doer [who obeys], he shall be blessed in his doing (his life of obedience)."

Remember, you've been learning about your perfection, completeness and oneness with the Lord. The aforementioned scriptures makes it clear that if you live a life that is inconsistent with these scriptures you are like a man who looked at himself in a mirror and has forgotten what he looks like. Be conscious of your completeness in Christ. Look at the world from that position.

The Word of God, just like a mirror is true and real. The more you look into the Word you are transformed from one degree of glory to another degree of glory. This connotes you were always in glory; and never from doom to glory. You were born into glory and it can only get better.

The Bible says the word of God is forever settled in Heaven. This includes the Pauline Revelation. It is our responsibility to settle these realities in our lives by constantly affirming who we are in Christ, what we have in Christ and what we can do in Christ.

You are perfect and complete; all imperfections have passed away. Hallelujah!!

Confession:

I am perfect and complete in Christ Jesus. God is in me, and I am in God. I'm in an inseparable union with God. I’m one with the Lord. All imperfections have been cut away. Hallelujah.
