The Chosen Generation

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, [God's] own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light (1 Peter 2:9 AMPC).

Being born again, we are God's chosen special people. How beautiful this is. No wonder as children of God, we are able to say with great boldness and confidence, "I'm special!"

Let us take a moment to observe four bible truths (realities) that make us God's special people:

Colossians 1:27 (CEV) reads, "God did this because he wanted you Gentiles to understand his wonderful and glorious mystery. And the mystery is that Christ lives in you, and he is your hope of sharing in God's glory."

The first reality is: Christ lives, abides and resides inside us. We have become His living tabernacle, this means that everything that makes God who He is, all of His abilities, anointing, power and wisdom are in us, Glory to God. It's important to note that this is something that was not possible in the days of Noah, Moses and Abraham, as it was hidden from them. They had to enter into His presence, but we (the chosen generation) have the honour to house the living God, Hallelujah.

Since the beginning of time, God had a plan. He had a desire for His children, for He "so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3:16). This brings us to our second reality: We have been given everlasting (eternal) life. Contrary to popular belief, eternal life is not something one receives when they get to heaven, no. It is God's very life and nature and we have it now; "This is the testimony: that God has GIVEN us eternal life, and this life is in His Son" (1 John 5:11 NKJV). This is the life the repels poverty and all kinds of sickness and disease, Glory to God!

Our third reality unveiling what makes us God's special and chosen generation is our inseparable union with the Father. Ephesians 5:30 reads, "For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones." You see, Christianity is not a religion. It's a oneness, union with the Father. It's Him in us and us in Him as one incorruptible and unstoppable force to be reackoned with. Praise God!

Last but not least, our fourth reality is witnessed in the book of 2 Corinthians 5:17 and it reads "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." Absolutely remarkable! So Christ is not only a man, but an environment too and guess what? The righteous, the chosen, special people of God (yes us) are in Him, living far above this world, it's systems and it's elements. Oh what a life!

All these realities were mere mysteries hidden, but Blessed be God for the resurrection of Jesus Christ has ushered us into the life the Father predetermined from the beginning of time for us to walk and function in; a life in which unending success and prosperity are guaranteed as we function in the consciousness of these wonderful realities.

Confession:

Thank you Lord for I'm a chosen generation. I'm a special, extraordinary and supernatural being. I possess the qualities and characteristics that make God who He is. I'm walking in God's predestined path for my life, in Jesus' name, Amen.
