SEE THE NEW 1

If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (Romans 10:9 NLT)

Our introductory scripture illustrates how a person can be born again and how you can help someone be born again. While some suggest a person gets saved or born again by confessing their sins, the bible makes it clear that the new birth comes by (Romans 10:9), that is by confessing Jesus Christ as your Lord and believing in your heart that God raised him from the dead. The confessing (acknowledging) sins applies to those who are already born again but make mistakes (1 John 1:9).

Through this simple yet powerful confession (Romans 10:9) you’re born again; saved. Question is what does it mean to be born again?

Once a person is born again according to (Romans 10:9), the bible says in (2 Corinthians 5:17), "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new." To be born again then means your spirit has been recreated and immersed into Christ (John 3:6).

Furthermore, the word of God shows us that if any man be in Christ he is a new creation. The word NEW in this scripture does not refer to a restored, modified or improved creature but rather to a completely new creature all together with no past, background or history.

The New Creature is a new species. The New Creature is therefore not the delivered, healed, free, forgiven BUT THE COMPLETELY NEW. For example, He (The New Creatures) is not the DELIVERED because he was NEVER BOUND, he was recently discovered, recently born, BORN OF GOD! If he is the forgiven then that would suggest he has a history and a past. All these beautiful phrases (FREE, DELIVERED, HEALED, etc) we have in the church today seek to suggest a Christian is not a New Creature.

In the eyes of God, you’re perfect and complete, thus there is no need for deliverance or breakthrough. There’s nothing to breakthrough from, you are not the healed because you were never sick. Glory to God! Additionally, we are admonished that since we have the newness of life it is pivotal that we BEHOLD, that is we need to see that all things have become NEW for this is what the birth, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ ushered us into - newness of life. The coming of Jesus didn’t bring restoration but newness. Jesus didn’t come to give us what Adam lost, it is not the gospel of restoration but the gospel of newness.

Now that you are born again, see that all things are new. See that you are a new creature, see that you don't have the human life nor the human nature but that you have eternal life, this is the life of God and nature of God pulsating inside of you. See that you are one with the Lord and therefore one with the totality of his divinity inside you. It matters how you see. When you begin to see yourself in this manner consequently you’ll enjoy the newness of life. It is interesting to discover that the first thing God trains the New Creation to do, after being born again, is to BEHOLD (SEE THE NEW) (2 Corinthians 5:17). The life in Christ is not the continuation of the old thus if you don’t BEHOLD you will live a lie.

Thus as a Christian if you have the life and nature of God wrapped up inside you, you are not the sick trying to be healed, but rather God has given you his life, eternal life, the life that's immune to any kind of infirmity. That’s why the new you does not need a healing, deliverance, to be filled up nor to receive debt cancellation and the like. The NEW YOU is Perfect and Complete in Christ because of the nature of God inside you so see and entertain the Perfect and Complete you.

Now that you can see and understand that you’re the creature that has the life and nature of God pulsating inside them continue to see that you have a new assignment. The Bible in (1 Peter 2:9 NASB), expands on this assignment. You are called to display excellence. It's not necessary for someone to release an anointing of excellence, it's your calling, just respond. Demonstrate excellence even in the tinest areas of your life.

An inspiring statement was mentioned in (Genesis 13:15), God told Abraham he will only give him the land which he manages to see. God wanted Abraham to see. He didn't say, "I will give you all the land I want to give you" but; he said, "I will give you the land that you manage to see". Similarly, you will only manage to walk in the light of the scriptures you see (Behold, Comprehend).

In (Joshua 6:2-3 NIV) the bible says, "Then the Lord said to Joshua, “SEE, I have delivered Jericho into your hands, along with its king and its fighting men." Just through this account we obtain a broader perspective of how God operates. Joshua, even before he had to go to battle, God instructed him to SEE that he has conquered Jericho already. How remarkable!

Begin to see all the new things God has done for you. Be aware and conscious of those new things and you will begin to enjoy the transcendent life in Christ.

CONFESSION

Blessed be God! I am a new creature. I am new and everything about me is new, old things are passed away. I see the new. I see that I have a new nature, the incorruptible nature of God.
