JESUS’S RESSURECTION MADE IT POSSIBLE FOR US TO BE IN A NEW PLACE - “IN CHRIST”

The death of Jesus Christ was a means to an end. Jesus died to bring us out and He resurrected from the dead to take us in. There is a place his resurrection ushered us into. No wonder in Hebrews 11:10, we see that Abraham longed to see this place, however, he was part of the generation that came before the cross. When you study the Old Testament you see types and shadows of this place. The likes of Moses said to the Israelites “I will take you to this place”, but when you study the word in depth you realise that they were sensitive enough to see that every time they thought they had arrived at this place they could sense that this was not the place God had in mind.

The Apostle Paul in 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “If any man be in Christ...”  From the above scripture, we discover that Christ is not only a person but also a place - our place in God.

Your location matters because it governs your condition of living. “In Christ” is a place; our location, our city. In Him we live, move and have our being (Acts 17:28).

Hebrews 12:22-23 continues to describe this location, it says; “But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels.” We are in the city of the living God. In this city, there is an innumerable company of angels. We are registered in heaven. We have come to God, where there is a higher Life thus when we pray we don’t say “Father I come to you,” because we are in Him already, hallelujah!

Moreover, in this city, we do not get sick because it has now become impossible for us to get sick. The death of Jesus Christ brought healing, but it would still be possible to be sick if Jesus had not resurrected. Now that He has resurrected, it is impossible for us to be sick. If Christianity were all about healing, salvation from sin, redemption, and deliverance, there wouldn’t be a need for Jesus to rise from the dead. His death on the cross would have been enough, for it paid for all our sins and guaranteed complete propitiation. However, that is not Christianity! His resurrection made it possible for us to experience a completely new life all together where we live in absolute divine health.

This is but one of the beautiful glories that followed the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We are in a far better place called- “In Christ” this is the current location of any Christian. The day we got BORN AGAIN we appropriated this blessing. Our location in this city is what sets us apart from the world and its debilitating influences. This is why we will always live above it and never be disadvantaged by this world and its system. Ours is to discover more about these truths by studying the epistles (letters were written by the Apostle Paul) to gain greater insight and walk in the full consciousness of these glories truths.

CONFESSION

Father, I thank you for I have been awakened and made alive to the mysteries of the Kingdom of God. As Jesus is, so am I in this world. I’m a product of the resurrection of Jesus Christ living with the full consciousness of who I am in Christ. In Him, I live a life of divine health, unending prosperity, and perpetual victory.
