Jesus Is Coming Back For A Church That Is Not Subject To The "Dependency Syndrome"

Therefore be imitators of God as dear children (Ephesians 5:1 NKJV).

God created us in His image (Genesis 1:27) and in so doing He expects us to operate as well as to function like Him.

A thorough knowledge and understanding of the enormity of this Wonderful reality is pivotal for a child of God. We are of God, we have been created in His image and in the words of John the Apostle "...as He is, so are we in this world" (1 John 4:17). Take a moment and think about this: The same miracle working power, the same situation changing ability that is at work in Him is at work in us today... What a life!

Therefore, the instruction we receive from our opening scripture, to imitate God, is meant literally.

Jesus said "For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself (John 5:26)." Jesus was self-existant. Child of God, this is our reality in Christ. Everything we require to get through life is inside us. Observe the insightful words offered by Paul in 1 Corinthians 6:17, "But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit." How remarkable. By virtue of our Divine union with Christ, we have become way makers. We don't wait for things to happen. Instead, we are the ones who make things happen, Glory to God.

We have been created to function like Him. This was something our Lord Jesus expected even from His disciples (who were not born again nor filled with the Holy Spirit). He wasn't pleased when they woke Him up in the boat to calm the storm (Mark 4:35-40). He expected them to do what He did (which was to speak to the storm and calm it themselves). He didn't want His disciples to depend on Him. Guess what? He expects nothing less than the supernatural and exploits from us, for His life and nature has been embedded into our spirits, therefore we have been endowed with the divine ability and authority to speak and cause changes in any situation or circumstance.

We were raised to function like Papa God. We are a self-sufficient church (which Jesus is coming back for), loaded with divine ability, therefore our lives ought to always be characterised by an unending stream of the miraculous, Hallelujah!

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for I am self-sufficient in Christ. I work miracles and have the authority to change any situation by the power of your Word in my mouth. I've become a distributor of blessings in Christ Jesus, now and forevermore, in Jesus name, amen.
