I'm Self-Sufficient

For even as the Father has life in Himself and is self-existent, so He has given to the Son to have life in Himself and be self-existent (John 5:26 AMPC).

Our Heavenly Father is self-existent. He doesn't depend on nor require any aid or support from anyone or any external force. Everything is inside of Him and as per our opening scripture, the same applies to master Jesus.

The question to ask is: What is the spirit of God communicating to us, the new creation? Where do we come in?

John the Apostle wrote in 1 John 4:17, "Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgement: because as he is, so are we in this world." This is a glorious reality of every Christian; as He (Jesus) is, so are we in this world.

Jesus required no aid or support from heaven, man or any external force. He had all that was vital and necessary for Him to get through life in Him. His consciousness of this reality—His mindset— is the force that propelled Him to live the excptional life He lived. We're therefore to have and live with the same consciousness. Hallelujah.

Being new creatures in Christ it means we're born of God. And by virtue of being born of God (who is self-sufficient, owns the world and everything in it), we are heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ (Romans 8:17) and all things belong to us (1 Corinthians 3:21)!

These were the words of a man who unapologetically walked in the reality of this truth —the Apostle Paul— a man who was supply conscious and had the "self-sufficient" mindset. Fully convinced of this he went on to say in 2 Corinthians 9:8 (NKJV) "And God is able to make all grace (every favor and earthly blessing) come to you in abundance, so that you may always and under all circumstances and whatever the need be self-sufficient [possessing enough to require no aid or support and furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation]"

Child of God, Jesus didn't come so that we may be beggars. He came so that we may be rich (2 Corinthians 8:9), and any Christian who isn't growing in God's word, will remain subject to the systems and elements of this world.

Determine today to grow in the knowledge and revelation of God's Word by going for, studying and meditating on the Word voraciously. In so doing, you will undoubtedly function like your Heavenly Father, for that's His dream for you.

Confession:

I'm born of God and therefore I function and operate like Him. I'm self-sufficient in Christ, possessing all I require for life and godliness. The fullness of God's word in my Spirit causes me to walk in everlasting victory, dominion and glory, in Jesus' name, Amen.
